4 steps. Done.
- Heat a small pan on medium. Add a little butter or oil if you want crispier edges.
- Place the tortilla in the pan.
- Add cheese to one half of the tortilla, then fold the other half over it.
- Cook for about 1–2 minutes until the bottom is lightly golden and the cheese starts melting.
- Flip carefully and heat the other side for 30–60 seconds if needed.
- Take it out, let it cool for a moment, then eat.
Why this works:
It is hot, fast, salty, and filling with almost no prep or decisions.
- Keep tortillas and cheese in the same spot so this becomes automatic.
- Use pre-shredded cheese if cutting feels like too much.
- This is a good “I need food in 4 minutes” meal.
- Add hot sauce or salsa after cooking.
- Add ham, chicken, or beans if you want more protein.
- Use two tortillas if you want a thicker quesadilla-style version.
- Use whatever cheese melts well. No need to overthink it.
