Warm rice with tuna and soy sauce. Minimal effort, decent protein.

What you need

You probably already have: rice • canned tuna • soy sauce
  • 1 cup cooked or microwave rice
  • 1 can tuna
  • Soy sauce to taste

4 steps. Done.

Step 1 of 4
  1. Heat rice according to the pack or use leftover rice.
  2. Open and drain the tuna.
  3. Add tuna to the rice bowl.
  4. Add soy sauce and stir.
  5. Eat.
Why this works: Warm carbs plus protein with almost no chopping or real cooking.
  • Keep microwave rice and tuna visible if this is a fallback meal.
  • Use the bowl you plan to eat from so cleanup stays low.
  • This is good when you need something more solid than a snack.
  • Add mayo if you want it softer and richer.
  • Add chili sauce if you want more flavor fast.
  • Use leftover chicken instead of tuna.
  • Add frozen peas if you want extra bulk.
